Now I typically post my poems in blocks of ten but today I'm breaking form because last night I had one of my epitaphs pretty much write itself and it's absolutely marvelous so here you go
PS: The good one is at the bottom

The light of the hearth though not as bright
Surpasses the sun in it's own right
With warmth and light throughout the night
~Michael Kane

In Southsward you did try
To preserve those that had to fall

Now for the must read
Bragoon and Sarro
The squirrel swift
And the otter strong
You died by the great rift
You lived one summer too long
~Michael Kane
The battle is won or lost before the first blow is landed, your wits are your greatest weapon
wow, you were right. "bragoon and sarro" is inspired. my other favorite of these is "hasax."
They just come to me, It's no big thing really.
Something about "old red kite" gets me. Elemental descriptions can be so powerful. Bloodbeak rules.
Not to sound like a Niles copycat, but Bragoon and Sarro is great. "You lived one summer too long". The line stirs an old memory for me. One that I can't quite recall. Thank you. Mary Jean
Ok people the Bragoon and Sarro one wasn't my fault read the book it wrote itself.
