Ok heres the deal. I forgot which poem I submitted where and on double checking things "Thoughts of You" did not win an award it was this one did
Come Home Weary Travelers
The Weary walls you once called home,
Call you back from the plains
So stop your march, cease your roam,
Don't wait for the rains
They only make the ground and loam,
Cause you pains
To make it home
~Michael Kane
DOH!!!
this is really good, michael.
even though it's really really short (which falls into my argument for haikus being authentic poetry) it still manages to convey strong emotions. well played, sir.
This one is indirectly but Redwall inspired have I mentioned I have no life
